Tawny

Tawny is the sweetest little soul she is utterly gorgeous and though I probably shouldn’t have ‘favourite’ sheep she is one of my favourites. She is very loving and gentle always seeking out contact. She is my little friend and when she had lambs for the first time aged 4 years old in 2018 I felt so proud. She had a little boy and a little girl in the field in front of our house, we had my aunty staying with us and she got to witness the special birth. Tawny’s daughter Buttercup was so much like her mum the exact same friendly character so when aged 3 month old Buttercup quite literally died in my arms it broke my heart. She was fine 1 minute and 20 minutes later she was gone she had some sort of heart attack or anaphylaxis we will never know exactly what but she died in my arms in the car whilst we raced her to the vets. Olaf was already promised to a lovely couple and their pet flock of sheep so he left for his lovely new home and Tawny was left lambless. I hope p[erhaps one day in the future to let Tawny have another pregnancy so she can pass her wonderful genes on to the next generation of our flock 🙂
