Custard son of Rhubarb, brother of Crumble and grandson of Pancake was the second of twins born with much difficulty on the 18th April 2020. If you have read his twin brother Crumble’s page then you will have read about their difficult entrance to the world. Custard was the second born and unusually his birth was even more difficult and took longer than his brothers. Due largely to the fact that Custard was born was even larger horns than his twin brother. Thankfully despite the drama (I feel like I aged 10 years during the stress of that lambing!) Custard survived his difficult entrance and has grown up into a beautiful happy sheep. I think Custard would have made a stunning breeding ram with his glossy fleece and funky face markings hence he wasn’t castrated as young as most of the male lambs. But as he reached about 2 months old it became quite obvious that Custard had inherited his dad Sven’s fiery temper and not wanting to place the responsibility entirely on Sven I should say that his mum Rhubarb is also pretty ferocious when she wants to be! So it was for that reason and the fact that I wanted Rhubarb to stay together with her boys that Custard parted ways with his manhood and said good-by to those raging hormones. These days Custard is a real sweetheart he loves attention and if you find the right spot to scratch on his neck he will sit down next to you in total bliss.
