Handcrafted felted fleece seat cover aka a ‘fluffy bum warmer’ made from a piece of Marmalade’s 2021 fleece.. Part 2

This beautiful all wool felted fleece has been made using part of Marmalade’s 2021 fleece. It is medium-soft to touch and has an incredibly pretty wool structure and natural colours. Marmalade is what is called a ‘moorit-spotted’ colour in simple terms – a light brown and white spotty sheep. The felted reverse has been created with a mix of wool from Marmalade herself and some of her friends – Muffin, Rupert and Lily. The reverse is very smooth and well felted. With this seat cover, I experimented with the pattern on the felt on the underside using some of my handspun wool and I have needle felted Marmalade’s name on there too – so you’ll never forget who provided this beautiful fleece. This is a completely handmade product every element has been created by myself and Marmalade and the flock at our farm in Wales. The sale of it directly sustains the sheep and enables them to live out their whole lives here munching away growing beautiful wool. You can’t get more ethical than that.

Marmalade’s fleece will look truly beautiful in any home. It is ideal to place upon a chair, sofa, bed or even use as a mini floor rug. Perfect to add a touch of rustic luxury and keep your bum or a pampered pet nice and cosy!

Dimensions: Measurements taken on the fleece side are at the widest 66cm and shortest 58 cm diameter. The seat pad has a more irregular circular shape to it.

Wool texture: The feel of this fleece is mostly soft with some of the longer locks especially being more coarse to touch. This ‘part 2’ of Marmalade’s seat covers is softer than ‘part 1’.

Colour: White & cream with natural light brown/tan patches on the fleece side and the same on the felted reverse.

VM(aka hay/grass seeds etc): You may find the odd wisp of hay or grass seed within the fleece and felt but they are very few and only add to the naturalness of this hand made piece.

All felted fleeces moult or shed to some degree some more than others. With this particular piece that is very minimal if at all.
