Woollen Gifts & Homeware

Working with wool has proved the perfect combination of my love of animals and being creative. All my pieces are individually handmade right here on our farm in North Wales using wool from my own sheep that I have sheared and prepared by hand. Everything is individual and rustic. I am predominantly self taught, a general theme throughout my life! Having been inspired and helped along the way by several very talented and generous individuals. Because everything is handmade no two creations can ever be the same - from needle felted sheep to felted fleece rugs everything has its own little character and charms - I don't strive for perfection but prefer to embrace the rustic naturalness of the product and let each piece be as unique as the sheep who donate their fleeces. I process all the wool I use by hand as such it does still contain the odd grass seed and wisp of hay, some admittedly more than others - some sheep seem to pride themselves on decorating their fleeces with various bits of plants...! I love coming across them when I am working with a fleece, it tells a story and shows how beautifully pure and natural the wool is thus I purposefully don't strive to remove them.
All the money raised from my woollen crafts goes directly back to the sheep who provide the wool. It helps pay for their winter feed, wood for shelters and vet medications amongsth other things. It really does sustain them and I wouldn't be able to offer so many a lifelong home without this support.
I am more than happy to accept any commissions and requests you might have. For example, if you would like a certain colour, size or style of rug - perhaps a particular needle felted animal or pet I would be happy to create something for you.
We have a shop on our website where you can browse and buy ready made items.
