Fleur was born here in 2011 and despite having spent her whole life here amazingly I have very few photos of her. She clearly is a little camera shy.. We’ll have to work on that. Fleur is a descendant of one of my original Welsh Mountain x Shetland ewes who was called Hairy Fairy. When Fleur was born I was quite surprised by her amazing spotted markings as her mum Elf was solid grey colour and usually had jet black lambs. Fleur has had several beautiful lambs herself over the years but we never kept any and all went to live in new homes.. as such there was no sheep to carry on her legacy here.. That is until 2018 when Fleur had 2 beautiful Icelandic cross ewe lambs Dandelion and Dotty who remain here with their mum. Fleur is never any trouble she has never been sick or sorry over the years. She is showing her age a bit now but she still grows a beautiful soft fleece each year which has been sold to hand spinners in the past and more recently I have used two of her fleeces to weave myself a new pillow.
