I bought Florence on the 28th September 2019 along with her siblings Jemima, Jasmine, Tatty and Bruno. They all came from a well known fibre flock in South Wales and share the same dad who is a Coloured Leicester longwool ram called Kennedy. I had dreamt of adding some Coloured Leicester Longwools to the flock and then I saw these beautiful crosses that had been bred for fibre and I decided to spend some of my savings on buying a couple of ewe lambs and a ram lamb. I actually came home with 4 ewe lambs and Bruno. Their mothers are Gotland cross Shetland sheep and these crosses have the most wonderful long shiny varying grey fleeces. Florence was the smallest and cutest lamb of the bunch. She had a stunning steel grey fleece but when we sheared her in early 2020 her fleece was a pretty pale grey underneath and almost white in places. Over the spring of 2020 even her face colour has gotten lighter and she now has some stunning face markings and looks very different to how she did as a lamb. Florence is now easily as big as her sisters if not the biggest of them all. Florence was completely unhandled when she came here but she very soon became very friendly and absoloutly loves having her chin scratched. She is a very sweet gentle sheep.
