Jasmine joined us on the 28th September 2019 along with her siblings Florence, Jemima, Tatty and Bruno. They all came from a well-known fibre flock in South Wales and share the same dad who is a Coloured Leicester longwool ram called Kennedy. I’d wanted to add some Coloured Leicester Longwools to the flock for a long time and then I saw these beautiful crosses advertised for sale and decided to spend some of my savings on buying a couple of ewe lambs and a ram lamb. All the lambs there were just beautiful and I could easily have brought them all home had my trailer and bank balance been big enough. I spent ages trying to decide which lambs to buy and in the end, I bought two more than I intended. The last lamb I chose was Jasmine. She has stood out the whole time I was there being larger and darker colour than most of the other lambs. In the end, it was my mum who was also with me who actually picked Jasmine as the final lamb to come back with us. Right away you could tell she was a feisty character. I’ve always said she is a bit of a diva and that’s very true still but she has calmed down a lot as she has grown up. I named her Jasmine or Jazz for short. She is a very jazzy sheep. It took a long while for Jasmine to trust me and she is still a little wary compared to her siblings but she does come over for a fuss quite often now and her sweet personality has come out.
