Spot is a big cuddly bear of a sheep. Her dad is a Valais Blacknose ram and her mum Xena is a chunky Zwartbles cross Texel sheep. Spot joined us in 2019 from the same flock in Dolgellau as Nora, Doris, Alice, Mango, Nettle, Dobby, Hagrid, Hermione and Luna who were already here. When I saw a photo of Spot as a newborn lamb I fell in love and asked about her. I was was told she was looking for a home so I agreed to buy her at weaning. A little later in the year I got a message to say she was ready and was asked if i would like to buy her mum Xena too as their owner was giving up her flock due to moving away. How could I say no.. So Spot and Xena joined the flock. They came with their names from their previous home. Spot had been named Spot because she has a tiny white spot on the top of her head. The lady suggested she should have a better name but Spot just suits her so it stayed. Spot hadn’t had much handling but she soon became very friendly indeed and really took to my kids Ollie and Elsie. She is absoloutly gorgeous with her impressive stature and inquisitive nature. Spot is a lovely member of the flock.
