Handmade Needle Felted Panda Decoration

This cute needle felted panda named creatively named ‘Panda’ is hand-crafted from 100% wool from the flock. Every little detail, his eyes, ears, tail and even his dangly legs are carefully made from wool at our farm by my own hands. The white wool comes from Mango and the black wool including that spun for his woollen legs comes from Smartie the ram. Panda would make a perfect special gift for panda lovers. A natural decoration who will fit in any home. I currently have him hanging from shelf in my workshop. He is completely natural, biodegradable, kind to sheep and the planet.

This listing is for the exact panda in the photos. He is presented in a simple card gift box – a perfect present for someone or perhaps for yourself!

He is made from all-natural wool from my flock, the only parts which are not wool from my flock are the jute twine that he hangs from.

Size – He measures approx 11cm long nose to tail and 7.5cm high from the tip of his ear to the bottom of his leg. The string length is approx 17cm. He is quite a round chunky panda – clearly been eating a bit too much bamboo.

All my needle felted items are very solidly felted with carefully added details. As such, each takes a very long time to make, the panda actually took over 5 hours to make at the felting stage. That is not including the time spent shearing the sheep, washing the wool, carding, dyeing or spinning the little legs!

I’ve wanted to make a needle felted Panda for a long time, they are one of my favourite animals. I just love their black and white markings and cute appearance. This is the first Panda I’ve conjured up and I’d love to make more in the future.

Please noteThis is NOT a toy. It has been created for display and decoration purposes only. It is made from small needle felted wool pieces felted together so could pose a hazard for babies or small children. Please do not give to children under 3 years old.

I always make every effort to show the true colours of items in my photos and website photos are never enhanced but sometimes colours may vary due to different monitor settings and lighting.

We keep a well-loved, high welfare flock of pet and rescue sheep on the Llyn Peninsular in North Wales. Our sheep are a part of the family and each is known by name. All our wool and makes are vegetarian-friendly as we do not breed or sell sheep for the meat market and our sheep live out their natural lives with us. I am a full-time mum and shepherdess. In my (none existent!) free time I make things from wool from the sheep in order to sustain them.
