Description

Beautiful raw wool lustre long fine crimpy locks from Noddy who is a Wensleydale cross Blue Face Leicester sheep.

This listing is for 1 x 50g bunch of hand pulled locks from Noddys first lamb fleece. The locks are amazingly fine and soft – perfectly suited to needle felting, doll making, wet felting and hand spinning. These have not been washed. Most of the locks are around 6″ in length but do vary a little. They are a generous 50g and all these bunches weigh a bit more 🙂

The photos are of the actual bundles you will recieve please include a note when you checkout with paypal which bundle you would like. I have more of this fleece should you require more just send me a message. If you buy more than one bundle any postage over charges will be refunded.

Noddy is a castrated male sheep who was born in March 2019, he was a cade lamb from a local farm who I bought and handreared along with his twin brother Norbert and another lamb called Lily. They live with many other sheep at our smallholding in North Wales.

As wool is a wonderful natural product from a happy sheep and has been completely processed by my own hands there is most likely still the odd grass seed and whisp of hay to be found amongst the fibres though I have done my best to remove them. This is the beauty of nature and sheep 🙂

We keep a well loved, high welfare flock of pet and rescue sheep on the Llyn Peninsular in North Wales. Our sheep are a part of the family and each is known by name. All our wool and makes are vegetarian-friendly as we do not breed or sell sheep for the meat market and our sheep live out their natural lives with us. I am a fulltime mum and slave to sheep! In my (none existent!) free time I make things from wool from the sheep in order to sustain them.

You can learn more about us and meet the sheep on our website www.patchworksheep.co.uk and follow our sheep on Facebook @patchworksheep or Instagram patchworksheep_
