Pepsi is a very beautiful pain in the bum. She was born here in June 2018 to mum Phlox and dad Sven being one of the original ‘Svenlings’. Her entry to the world was not plain sailing. I was pregnant myself at the time with my youngest Ollie. Pepsi’s mum Phlox and Phlox’s twin sister Smudge both went into labour on the same day. After a while it became apparent there was a serious problem with Smudge’s labour and unborn lambs, I suspected they may have died in utero and her distress was distracting Phlox and as a result Phlox was not progressing either. As I was pregnant myself and with my suspicions that Smudge may of already sadly lost her lambs to an unknown cause I couldn’t risk assisting, therefore, I asked the help of our farming neighbours who with great difficulty delivered Smudge’s sadly stillborn lambs and finally Pepsi. After the tragedy with Smudge, we were all uplifted when Pepsi arrived big and strong and very healthy. Pepsi thrived and was soon as tall as her tiny mum Phlox. You can almost see in Pepsi’s expressions in the photos that she is quite a willful madam. She does her own thing and can be very friendly if she chooses or totally aloof and wild. She grew up alongside Dandelion and Dotty and even now the 3 remain firm friends. Pepsi has a very wild looking beautiful fleece. It is pretty coarse but stunning to look at and work with. Pepsi’s second shear fleece from 2020 was felted into a very beautiful vegetarian sheepskin fleece rug.
